Fans of the Fourth Hour got a mighty scare this morning, when instead of Kathie Lee and Hoda, they were greeted with a test pattern and a message:
Thankfully, it was a joke. Well, mostly. The ladies DID pick some of the winning numbers from yesterday's $580 million jackpot, but they were not the two big winners, in Arizona and Missouri.
"We're not lying, we did win!" said Kathie Lee while holding their lottery ticket.
"Should we tell them how much? Or will people feel bad?" wondered Hoda.
"They're gonna be so jealous," said KLG.
They won $4! And even better than that, they have to divide it up between the nine people who went in on the ticket. Leaving them with ... 44 cents.
