In an op-ed in Tuesday's New York Times," Angelina Jolie revealed that she underwent a double mastectomy after genetic testing revealed she was at high risk for developing breast cancer.

Kathie Lee and Hoda applauded her decision to be tested, and to take preventative measures.

"I'm glad she had Brad next to her through that whole thing and I'm really glad they could do that privately," said KLG. "At the end of the day, if you don't have your health, how can you appreciate any blessing you have?"

Later in the show, guest Lisa Rinna revealed that she also had the test after her mother and sister were both diagnosed with breast cancer.

"I think it is so important and so courageous that she's come out to do this," she said, saying that it's the reason why her mother and sister are still here. "So I just want to say, bravo to Angelina."
