We've all been there. You're holding something: a wine glass, some food ... or perhaps an innocent, unsuspecting, adorable puppy. And accidentally, it falls out of your hands.
It can even happen to TODAY hosts. During a puppy segment on yesterday's show, while Kathie Lee was holding a cute pup, it kind of took a faceplant back into its playpen.
Kathie Lee and Hoda called into the show this morning to talk to TODAY anchors Natalie Morales, Savannah Guthrie, Matt Lauer and Al Roker about the "ruff" incident, and how Kathie Lee was feeling the day after.
"The puppy is OK, but I'm wreck," said Kathie Lee. "I have three dogs of my own and adore dogs."
KLG then went on to explain the real reason the pooch was trying to get away: "That dog did not want to go home with Hoda."
Kathie Lee didn't have to take the heat alone, though: The anchors also poked fun at Hoda's reaction.
"Look, I was terrified for that dog when it took that kamikaze dive away from Kathie Lee," said Hoda.
TODAY editor Danielle Brennan keeps a tight grip on a wine glass at all times.
