KLG and Hoda issue a challenge to viewer who criticized anchor's weight

Oct. 3, 2012 at 12:46 PM ET

Kathie Lee and Hoda had some choice words for a man who emailed a news anchor to tell her she was too fat for TV. Namely: that he's probably too chicken to send them naked pictures of himself.

Wisconsin news viewer Kenneth Krause wrote a harshly critical email to anchor Jennifer Livingston criticizing her weight and saying she was poor role model. But Jennifer didn't take it sitting down -- she addressed the letter on the air acknowledging that she is overweight, but "I am much more than a number on a scale." She told viewers that this was learning moment, and that her most important message was for the children watching: "Don't let yourself be defined by bullies" like Kenneth.

Kathie Lee and Hoda applauded her choice to call Kenneth out. "It was rude and as cruel as can be," said KLG of his email. Then, they issued a special challenge.

"Have we seen a picture of this man?" KLG asked.

"I wanna see a picture of Kenneth Krause," said Hoda.

"Naked," added KLG.

"Bring it," said Hoda.

Challenge issued, Kenneth.
