KLG and Hoda ask: Ever had anybody swipe your friend?

It's unlikely that anything could come between Kathie Lee and Hoda. Well, you know, other than the last glass of wine.

But they still took notice when TODAY pal Philip Galanes took on the subject of "friend-jumping" in his Social Qs column in The New York Times. The phenomenon occurs when you introduce two of your friends to one another, they hit it off a little too well, and start ditching you for one another.

"I can see where it would hurt your feelings," said Hoda of girlfriend theft.

But KLG contended that you can't steal what was never yours. "You don't own people, people!" she said.

Phil suggested gently bringing it up with the offending pair, so that they'll either include you or start being more sensitive about broadcasting their exclusive hangouts.

Have you ever been friend-jumped? Or are you the jump-er?

Julieanne Smolinski is a TODAY contributor who thought friend-jumping was a kind of extreme bicycle sport.
