Kathie Lee and Hoda had at least one fan of their appearance on last night's "America's Got Talent" finale: TODAY's Carson Daly, who called the pair "the real winners of 'AGT' last night."

What did KLG and Hoda do to garner such praise from C-dog? The pair served as magician finalist Collins Key's "sexy" assistants for the night. Or, as KLG put it, "We were his muses, basically."

"What a doll," said KLG, of the very, very tall 17-year-old.

"We loved him, by the way. He's adorable," said Hoda.

And crafty, too. KLG and Hoda still haven't figured out how he did his amazing trick, which involved Keys pulling a page from Hoda's book.

"I woke up this morning thinking how did he do that trick?" said Hoda. We have no idea, either.

So did KLG and Hoda charm their way into a win for Key?

Sadly, no. He came in fourth behind Kenichi Ebina, whose incredible robotic dancing won over the judges — and America — and took home top honors and the $1 million prize.

Congrats to Collins, Kenichi and the rest of the "America's Got Talent" finalists.
