There was an awful lot of toilet humor this Winesday Wednesday.
Kathie Lee and Hoda were all over the bathroom beat this morning with two different news stories concerning the water closet.
First up, a Slate story that suggested that toilet posture can affect your health, followed by a news item about a New York City school teacher who put a cap on her student's bathroom visits. There was discussion of President Carter's hemorrhoids, copious use of a flushing sound effect, and much tittering into pina coladas.
"We don't write this stuff," said Kathie Lee. Well, in this case, it's better to get this information in your living room than from somewhere else you might do the bulk of your news reading.
Julieanne Smolinski is a TODAY contributor. She is not above laughing about hemorrhoids.
