Happy Birthday, Kathie Lee! The celebration kicked off Wednesday, with a surprise lunch with Matt, Al, Hoda, Savannah, and Willie. (Hoda tweeted this picture of dessert — it's OK to swoon.)
The Giffestivities kept going on her actual birthday, when the Cordon Bleu College of Culinary arts presented her with a massive, three-tier cake. The motif? KLG herself, of course. There were frosted peacocks, TODAY logos, and even a fondant Bambino.
Later in the show, she actually got to win a game show segment (hosted by BFF-for-life Willie), and snacked on one of her favorite apps, crab cakes, courtesy of chef Curtis Stone.
But possibly the coupe de grace: during a visit from Lionel Richie, he serenaded her with a few lines from her favorite song, "Stay." This one's going to be hard to top, but if anybody's known for outdoing herself, it's KLG.
