Hoda's (literally) dirty secret: I clean before my cleaning lady comes

Nov. 2, 2012 at 12:31 PM ET

Got a sink full of dishes? Don't worry -- that means you may outlive your cleaner counterparts.

During Friday morning's chat, Kathie Lee and Hoda discussed an article in the Wall Street Journal that suggested that people who let their homes get a little messy live longer than those who don't.

This, of course, gave KLG the perfect opportunity to engage in one of her favorite pastimes: hassling Hoda about the state of her place, particularly, the sink and the toilet.

But maybe Hoda cares more about cleanliness than KLG thinks. She confessed to regularly cleaning her apartment … when she knows her cleaning lady is coming, that is.

"I love Rosa," she said. "I clean before she comes, because I don't want her to think I'm disgusting."

"But you'll tell America you are," countered KLG.

Hey, nobody here is judging.
