It's officially the holidays, and before you get to a-partying, it's important to know your particular place in the soiree. Are you a peak-too-sooner? A flirt? Or a dark horse?

Kathie Lee and Hoda discussed the different types of party guests and what they each bring to the table. Or take away, as it were.

There's the "peak-too-sooner," who has too much vino too early in the night; the "blabbermouth," who spends the night gossiping; the "dancer," who insists on feelin' the music even when no one else is; the "flirt" (self-explanatory), and "the dark horse," who's quiet all year but gets crazy the minute there's booze.

KLG called out Hoda for being the "Houdini," who puts in a brief appearance and the steals off into the night. Hoda agreed, and said she puts in 20 minutes of serious face time and then she bolts.

The trick is to say hello to everybody individually, being sure that they've seen you, and to be as enthusiastic about the party as possible ("I'm coming right back!"). Then pretend like you have to use the bathroom and slip out. "Nobody notices!" she claims. Sneaky!

"I thought it was charming, until you did it at my house," said KLG.

"Sometimes it's just over," shrugged Hoda.

Well, it sure beats the dancing thing.
