Kathie Lee and Hoda began the chat by sending their regards to Ann Curry, who announced a new NBC News role on Thursday.
Ann will be a TODAY Anchor at Large and National and International Correspondent for NBC News. “She’s going to have a 7-member team and she’s going to travel the globe reporting on stories that she cares a lot about and loves,” said Hoda.
“And nobody’s better at it than she is,” said Kathie Lee.
During Ann Curry’s announcement Thursday, she said, “I will still be a part of the TODAY show family...I am so grateful, especially to all of you who watch.”
“She’s a class act,” Hoda said, adding that “we love, love having her around.”
“We’re glad she’s gonna stay a part of our family,” said Kathie Lee, who made sure to tweet her, saying that she wishes her all the joy she deserves.
KLG went on to say that Ann “finds great joy in doing things that I can’t even imagine doing, and going places, and she’s very courageous and she’s very dedicated to what she does and she’s going to bring us great stories from all over the world.”
Hoda agreed: “She’s fearless.”
