Hoda: This cocktail is 'like gasoline, but in a good way'

June 19, 2012 at 11:19 AM ET

Boozeday Tuesday's cocktail was a stiff one! Inspired by a drink featured in the New York Times, Kathie Lee and Hoda enjoyed an "El Presidente."

As they gingerly sipped the potent pink potable, they hazarded a guess at what was in it. Hoda tasted notes of "gasoline" and thought perhaps they were sipping "straight liquor with food dye."

The actual ingredients? Pomegranate juice, sugar, white rum, orange curaçao, and vermouth. Don't breathe anywhere near an open flame, ladies.

Julieanne Smolinski is a contributor. She tries to avoid drinking gasoline, or vermouth.
