Want to feel better about that parking ticket you got? A woman in Chicago has racked up over $100,000 in charges after her car sat in an airport parking lot for three years.
31-year-old Jennifer Fitzgerald argued that she gave the car to an ex-boyfriend, who abandoned it. But since the car is in her name, she may be legally responsible, the Daily News reports.
She's not the only one who's ever been at the mercy of sadistic meter maids. Hoda admitted that she's got some serious priors. She got ticketed almost nightly when she lived in New Orleans (she was too scared to open up her shadowy garage spot late at night). And in college, she almost wasn't allowed to graduate because of unpaid parking tickets.
But she's all free and clear now, right?
"I paid a portion," said Hoda impishly, moving quickly on to the next segment.
Let's just hope there are no warrants out there.
