Going ape: KLG, Hoda crack up over the lost, fashionable monkey in IKEA

Monday's case of the giggles was brought to KLG and Hoda by a snappily dressed little monkey.

The confused pet, who became a Twitter sensation over the weekend when the story broke, was found wandering the famously labyrinthine furniture store in Toronto, wearing a shearling coat. Don't worry -- the adorable little gentleman was apprehended by animal services, so the situation is under control… which is more than can be said for our co-anchors.

After laughing at monkey photos for several minutes, KLG seized on the opportunity for some observational IKEA comedy. "You just don't buy it off the floor, little monkey!" she guffawed. "You have to take it home and assemble it."

And before they could move on to the next story, KLG asked if they could show his picture, "one more time with the coat?"

"The owners clearly love that monkey," said Hoda.

Clearly, they're not alone.
