Crack open the sparkling cider! Hoda Kotb's book, "Ten Years Later," is on The New York Times' bestsellers list.
The hardcover edition hit stores just last week, and it's already at number twelve. On TODAY Thursday, Hoda admitted that she was in her robe, ready to do some emotional eating, when she heard from her co-author Jane Lorenzini that they had a hit on their hands.
To celebrate, TODAY crew member Jerry presented Hoda with a bouquet of flowers while the studio blasted Kool and the Gang. Guest co-host Meredith Vieira raised a glass of red, and despite some really intense peer pressure, our intrepid author stayed true to her pledge and only toasted by sniffing her wine.
"Just be a rebel for once!" Meredith exclaimed. Jeez Mer! You're like a tough teen in an after-school special.
"Jerry, Jerry," pleaded Hoda, "please take the wine away."
Congrats, Hoda! Only two weeks til you celebrate with real champagne.
Julieanne Smolinski is a TODAY contributor who hopes to have a tenth of Hoda's resolve.
