If you're looking for catty, incisive fashion critiques, then look no further than Joan Rivers and the Fashion Police. But if you're looking for polite, charmingly befuddled coverage, then why not take a stroll down the red carpet with Hoda and Kathie Lee?
The Fourth Hour ladies had lots of opinions about the fashions at Sunday's Emmy Awards. They had high (if slightly confused) praise for Edie Falco's color-blocked Stella McCartney number ("Is that mesh?"), and praised Heidi Klum's flowy sea foam gown, noting that "she looks like she smells good," whatever that means. They were hypnotized by Christina Hendricks' cleavage ("Those things need their own zip code," noted KLG) and noted that the impressive Lena Dunham "has tattoos."
They were less into Glenn Close's busy black number, although Hoda would only go so far as to say "some people" didn't like it. Their main kvetch? The number of celebrities kvetching about the heat.
In the end, KLG got philosophical: "Some things worked and others didn't," she said. "Like life."
