A Jack Russell terrier who received his own bucket “lick-it list” from the Canadian boy he served -- and whose life he repeatedly saved -- has died.

“Bingo will go to heaven on a marshmallow cloud that will have a chocolate water slide for dogs,” said the dog’s 11-year-old owner, Cole Hein, in a written statement released Wednesday.

Bingo was trained to alert Cole’s parents every time the boy stopped breathing because of his apnea, a sleep condition. She had been with the boy since 2005.

The pair made headlines after word spread about the bucket list Cole had created for his furry best friend. Referring to it as Bingo’s “lick-it list,” the boy asked people to send his dog treats from around the world.

The 14-year-old Jack Russell terrier was euthanized Tuesday after weeks of declining health from canine dementia, his family said.

“Bingo will ask God if he could help the dogs on Earth more by helping dogs living in pounds, shelters (and) rescue groups get good homes with loving new moms and dads and children, who will love them as much as I love Bingo,” Cole said in his statement.

Cole’s mom, Mandi Hein, said she owes her son’s life to Bingo for saving him “countless times.”

The family will soon be getting another specially trained dog. MSAR, a rescue organization with a special canine program that trained Bingo, is working with another dog who will soon become part of the Heins' family, the Canadian Press reported.
