With Kathie Lee and Hoda on temporary Olympic hiatus, what better time to get to know the driving force behind the show? No, not Chianti: the wonderful staff of the Fourth Hour.
We'll be taking a look at 10 fun things you may not know about the KLG&H team. Today, we're getting to know Fourth Hour producer Joanne LaMarca, who may have given us our juiciest list yet. Check back throughout the Olympics to get more fascinating behind-the-scenes info.
1. She likes you, she really likes you.
I’m addicted to reading posts from our Facebook fans and cry at the touching ones, but I cry at a lot of things. Probably too many things.
2. She routinely impresses Joy.
To fit my exercise in, I do calisthenics on the studio floor during the show.
3. She gets bullied by the ladies...
I never meet with Kathie Lee and Hoda without wearing lipstick and heels ... and they still call me names.
4. …and it's driven her to drink.
Since working on the Fourth Hour, I’ve taken to a daily glass of wine.
5. She's a groupie.
I’m one of the founding members of Cher’s International Fan Club and have gone bowling with her. I even have an autographed pin to prove it!
6. She's a cruel tease.
I worked as a celebrity look-alike -– and I’m not telling who!
7. She has lived many secret lives.
For two years, I co-hosted a call-in advice show called “We Hear Ya!” and wrote an advice column under the pseudonym Lily Waters.
8. She is an actual expert on bad hair days.
My hair is such a problem that I wrote a book about it ("Because of My Hair").
9. She has odd aspirations.
I dream of owning a bikini shop in Laguna Beach when I’m 80 where I get to dress in one every day!
10. She's just plain adorable.
My favorite job of all is being a wife and a mom – although I put it off for a very, very long time.
