Former child star Shirley Temple Black has some very grown-up criticism of Paris Hilton.

The 77-year-old former curly topped cutie has blasted Hilton, saying that those like the partying heiress are “stealing the thunder from really talented actors who have learnt their craft,” reports the London Express.

Another Shirley is also taking aim at Hilton. Shirley MacLaine, who was named after Temple, had unkind words for Hilton.

“She just shops and turns up to parties,” said MacLaine while promoting her film “In Her Shoes.” “So she wears pink and has blonde hair and suddenly she calls herself not a starlet or an ingénue — no, according to Paris, she is a movie star!”

Hilton recently wrapped her first lead roles in "Bottom’s Up" and "Pledge This," which further irks MacLaine. “It irritates me as in my day you had to really work,” said MacLaine. “It took Bette Davis seven years of hard slog to reach the point where her name was above the title on a movie.”

Living la vida boredom
Ricky Martin says he turned his back on la vida loca because he was bored.

“[T]he crazy thing is nobody else could tell that I was bored. Everybody thought I was having a great time,” the former bon-bon shaking star said, reports the Scottish Daily Record. “I was really concerned about that. I thought, wait a minute, I’m faking my emotion. Everything had become automatic and false.”

Martin was in Scotland, fighting against the trafficking of children into slavery and prostitution, and he revealed that he sponsors four girls in India. “Because of trafficking, the adoption of children to foreigners is not legal in India,” he explained. “They control adoption because of the fear of child trafficking, which I think is brilliant of the Indian government. But why not? Maybe some day I will adopt a child.”

Notes from all over
Britney Spears’ father has named a smoothie after her newborn son, Sean Preston. The Preston is a new drink at J.J. Chill, Jamie Spears’ cafe in Venice, California, and is made with fat-free frozen yogurt, strawberries, mangoes and papaya, according to The Star.  . . . The buzz is that Madonna’s documentary, "I’m Going to Tell You a Secret," may debut on MTV. . . . Christina Aguilera wowed guests at her bachelorette party in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, wearing a tiara and frilly garter.
