Recipe: Chocolate Oreo Ice Cream Pie
Ingredients
- Crust ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups finely crushed Oreo cookie crumbs (crush 15 cookies in a food processor or blender)
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- Filling ingredients
- 1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
- 1 cup fudge sauce
- 1 cup coarsely chopped Oreo cookies
Preparation
for the crust:
Generously butter a 9-inch glass pie plate. In a large bowl, stir together cookie crumbs and melted butter. Using your fingertips, firmly and evenly press the mixture into the bottom and sides of the pie pan.
for the filling:
Spread 1/2 of the ice cream in the prepared crust. Top with fudge sauce, then the rest of the ice cream. Sprinkle with chopped cookies. Freeze till firm.
