As of Monday night, it was six huge premieres and counting for "War of the Worlds."
And just in case there were still some people out there who hadn't heard the Steven Spielberg-Tom Cruise film opens on Wednesday, Tom held premiere #7 — and this time it was just for the fans.
But Access Hollywood was there to capture all of the action.
5:45 p.m. – Tom cruises in on his red Honda motorcycle with his bride-to-be Katie Holmes holding on tight to her man. (Oh, and the 5-carat rock clearly in sight). The couple was the picture of togetherness, donning matching outfit – jeans, black T-shirts, black boots, leather jackets and shades. But where were their helmets?
6:45 p.m. – After spending an hour on Hollywood Boulevard with the fans, Tom addresses the crowd of thousands.
"You guys have a great summer," he told them. "Thank you for coming out. This premiere is for you all!"
Then, he hits the red carpet for another hour of autograph signing and posing for photos, as Katie looked on lovingly.
Tom's pal and fellow Scientologist Leah Remini was also on-hand and eager to congratulate the newly engaged couple – and fast to shut down criticism of Tom's newfound openness and sometimes over the top outpouring of love for Holmes.
"I knew it was love," Remini told Access. "People are just not used to seeing him that way. He is a lovely person. He loves to play games. He is goofy, he is fun…As a matter of fact, after being with them, I said to my husband Angelo, 'You better start jumping on couches buddy. I wanna see a little jump or two!'"
7:35 p.m. - As Tom nears the final group of fans, a superstar surprise awaits as Will Smith -- who had been upstairs at the Kodak Theater rehearsing for the BET Awards – shows up. Tom and Will jokingly tussle and then Will meets Tom's wife-to-be.
7:50 p.m. - Tom's jacket comes off and he and Katie pose for the last photos together before heading into the theater.
