Two people from Greater Binghamton have hit the lottery - big time.

Jane Downey, who is a former Binghamton City School District employee, matched all six numbers from the July 21st Cash4Life jackpot, earning her $1,000 a day for life.

She has opted to take a cash payout of about $4.5 million after required withholdings.

Downey bought the ticket at Runway Food Mart on Riverside Drive in Johnson City.

"I have kind of a unique job where I get to travel all over the State of New York and meet most of the winners. Usually, they have similar reactions, they bought the ticket, some of them were expecting to win, but most people are like I never thought I would. Both winners with us today don't play the lottery very often," said Gretchen Dizer, a NY Lotto Drawings Assistant.

Meanwhile, Dana Wells of Port Crane won on a thousand dollars a week for life on a scratch-off ticket that was given to him as a birthday gift.
