this is tapenade, what i did is sauteed onions and fennel together just for about seven to nine minute until they are really tender and lots of great things. i have sliced garlic, three cloves of sliced garlic. cook that for a minute. you don't want it to burn but cook a little bit, and it has complex flavors. cherry vinegar, tomatoes, crushed tomatoes from a can. figs which is unusual in a tampenade,
brown sugar
