Prince Harry meets ‘cheeky’ boy at first event since scandal

At Prince Harry's first appearance since his naked pictures hit the Web, the royal wagged his finger at a witty 6-year-old who had warned he would tell the prince he was "glad he got his clothes on."

Alex Logan appeared poised to broach the topic when the two met at the WellChild Awards, a ceremony held Monday in London that honors seriously ill children. Alex is in remission from acute leukemia.

But Prince Harry made it clear that his naked Las Vegas escapades were off limits.

Alex's mom Debbie described the meeting: "Harry said to Alex 'You keep looking up at your mum, looks like you're dying to say something but you know she will tell you off. I heard you were on ITV earlier, you said something cheeky, let's not talk about that here.'"

The amusing moment was one of two references to the scandal at the ceremony. Earlier, Harry joked about his Sin City partying in prepared remarks:

"All of you, children, families, nurses, doctors, carers, volunteers are quite frankly too remarkable for me adequately to describe with mere words," he said.

"But never one to be shy in coming forward, I'll give it a go," before grinning knowingly as the audience burst into laughter and gave him a warm round of applause.

Harry is patron of WellChild, a UK charity dedicated to the needs of sick children and their families, whose children's nurses provide specialist medical care and direct support in the home for chronically ill youngsters.

The Prince presented awards to 10 young winners and said the work of the charity "made everyday worries seem very insignificant" and that he was humbled to be there.
