This could be the closest you come to celebrating like a royal.
Pippa Middleton, the famed sister of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, is coming out with her first book, a guide to entertaining scheduled for release in October.
“Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends” bills itself as a “seasonal guide to simple and creative entertaining” and contains recipes, crafts, games and tips on entertaining.
Story: Pippa kissed by Swedish fan following ski marathonWhile the publisher, Penguin Group, is keeping mum on the exact contents of the book, it just released the U.S. and U.K. covers, featuring Middleton in a variety of activites: making Halloween decorations, baking with a little girl, even riding her bike and playing Frisbee on the beach. The covers differ slightly, perhaps to reflect cultural differences. For example, Bonfire Night (sometimes called Guy Fawkes Night) is represented on the U.K. cover, while a photo of desserts with sparklers denotes America’s Independence Day on the U.S. cover.
“It is a useful and practical journey into British-themed occasions, and I hope it offers welcome inspiration and ideas, most of which needn't leave you alarmingly out of pocket,” said Middleton in a press release from the book’s U.K. publisher, Michael Joseph, part of Penguin. “Entertaining on any scale can be stressful and daunting, so this is all about finding ways to manage and enjoy the process. I hope you will see this as a feel-good book with ideas to look forward to each month, providing threads of lasting, happy memories, be it around a table lit with candles in winter, outside on a rug in summer or in the autumn, perched on a leaf-covered bench, hot drink in hand.”

“Celebrate,” which went up for pre-order in July, will be released on Oct. 30, in time for eager Christmas planners and shoppers to snag a copy. The cover price is $50, but Amazon is selling it for $32.13.
