Lori Jones, or Lolo as she’s known, is a track and field runner for the 2012 U.S. Olympic team and returning veteran from the 2008 Beijing Olympics. And while the stunning 29-year-old has accomplished amazing athletic feats and holds the American record for the fastest 60-meter hurdles, when it comes to her love life, Lolo isn’t looking to race into a relationship.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, Lolo — who emphasized that she’s single by choice — admitted that she gets tired of people on Twitter asking why she’s not dating anyone.

“That’s one of the main reasons, because literally there are so many people who aren’t willing to wait for their future spouse. They want to have sex now, they want to hook up,” Lolo — who has openly spoken about being a virgin — said. “That’s their life. My life is something else.”

“I’ve complained about this to all my friends,” Lolo told Access. “ ‘When am I going to finally meet the man of my dreams, my husband, and experience, you know?’ Please, end this drought.”
Olympian Lolo Jones, 29, is staying a virgin until marriageBut the reason for Lolo’s relationship status could also be due to her intensive Olympics training and desire to win the gold that slipped from her fingers four years ago in Beijing. During a race back in 2008, Lolo accidentally tripped on a hurdle out of sheer mistiming and lost her chances as the fumble left her finishing in seventh place.

The first month, it was every day, every hour, every minute,” Lolo said. “But, now that’s been four years, it just sneaks up on you every now and then ... [you just need to] refocus and use it as motivation.”
