“Over the years, we’ve continued to experiment within the Facebook space and listen to what the audience wants,” said Jen Brown, TODAY.com General Manger.  “The result is a robust, engaged community that is consuming and sharing the TODAY experience long after the show ends.”

In addition to its main page, TODAY also runs Facebook pages for Kathie Lee and Hoda, TODAY Moms, TODAY Food, TODAY Entertainment, TODAY Health, TODAY Money and It’s a Snap and The Clicker.  All told, TODAY has over 1.8 million Facebook likes across its accounts.

TODAY debuted on Facebook in February 2008 and has been a pioneer in the social space ever since. Fan feedback has been incorporated into the broadcast and shaped online content. Live chats with TODAY talent and online producers have increased communication with the audience. TODAY has delivered special rewards for its fans, such as Facebook-exclusive offers for Jill’s Steals and Deals.  Facebook was the primary platform for viewer interaction with the 2010 TODAY Throws a Wedding series. TODAY was first to debut Facebook Timeline for personal pages in December 2011 and was one of the first brands to launch the Facebook Timeline app.  TODAY.com will incorporate feedback from its Facebook fans in upcoming coverage of the London Olympics.

The Facebook platform is a key component in TODAY Digital’s cross-media portfolio, which also includes Pinterest, Twitter, tumblr, Instagram and Xbox. TODAY.com averaged more than 21.5 million unique visitors each month for the past 12 months, a 25 percent increase in year-over-year growth.*
