Fashion favorites
From Nanette Lepore to Jason Wu, there are many dedicated designers out there who make manufacturing here at home a priority. A contemporary favorite of our own Hoda Kotb is Amy Matto, an New York City-based designer and supporter of the U.S. garment industry. This year, in honor of Independence Day, Matto is offering up her signature front twist dress in sleeveless and long sleeve for a special sale price of $99 (Amymatto.com).
And of course, an all-American round-up wouldn't be complete without a dose of denim. The classic textile is commonly manufactured stateside, with fashion-forward brands like J Brand, Siwy, Habitual and Longhorn Jeans all taking pride in producing their goods locally (Siwy Denim $154-284, Lesters.com; Habitual Denim $185-$265, Shopbop.com; $70-$110, Longhornjeans.com).
