named storm
and
hurricane season
starts next friday. let's take a look at beryl. subtropical, have more of a band banding inside. we're getting that though, so we could see this form more thoughtful characteristics, it continues to head toward northern florida, southern georgia coastline here. potentially around jacksonville late sunday evening and perhaps a slight strengthening of winds. perhaps 3 to 6 inches of much needed rain in florida and georgia. eventually, it will turn more toward
south carolina
and offshore as we get to the middle of next week. the other story we're dealing with is a dangerous heat here. temperatures some 10, 20 degrees above average in the east.
