  9. Expensive smile

After tweeting a picture in July 2010 that showed a mouthful of bling, West explained on the "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that he actually had gold and diamonds inserted to replace his bottom of row of teeth because he "just thought the diamonds were cooler." But it's likely that the device is removable and West still has his own teeth. (The Ellen DeGeneres Show) Back to slideshow navigation

West is pictured before a screening of "Runaway," a short film he directed that accompanies his 2010 album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy." 15. "Imma let you finish..."

West stole the headlines at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when he grabbed the microphone from country star Taylor Swift, saying that Beyonce should have won the award for best female video instead of Swift. West's album sold 957,000 copies in its first week and beat 50 Cent's "Curtis" (691,000) handily, but 50 Cent didn't retire after all. (Roling Stone) Back to slideshow navigation
  21. Sore loser again, in Europe this time

At the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards in Denmark, West jumped on stage and launched into a profanity-laced tirade arguing that he should have won the best video award that went to Jeremie Rozan and Martial Schmeltz, directors of "We Are Your Friends" by Justice vs Simian. He interrupted the duo's acceptance speech, arguing that his big-budget video for "Touch the Sky" deserved to win because it "cost a million dollars and Pamela Anderson was in it." 29. Sore loser

West's temper surfaced early. After learning he lost the best new artist award to country singer Gretchen Wilson at the American Music Awards in 2004, he stormed out of the award ceremony. He later tells reporters, "I felt like I was definitely robbed, and I refused to give any politically correct bullsh--ass comment ... I was the best new artist this year." 30. With Anna Nicole Smith

Kanye West began his career as a music producer in 1996, but then struggled to earn his own record deal. In 2004, he released his debut album, "The College Dropout." Reality show star and model Anna Nicole Smith appeared in the music video for that album's single, "The New Workout Plan." The song pokes fun at the idea that women are valued only for their shape, men for their money. Smith died in 2007 after a prescription drug overdose. (L.
