   >> it really is. that era is, the style, there's something care-free about that era where people are more social. you didn't have the internet. you didn't have cell phones. you didn't have any of those distractio distractions. it's fun.

   >> we want to be there. everything was better. there was drinking, it was easy, there were no seat belts .

   >> no one had helmets.

   >> the interesting thing about hefner's role or nonrole in this movie is like a "charlie's angels."

   >> it's not the story about hugh hefner and the creation of his empire. he is omni present throughout the series. he started the playboy club in the early '60s.

   >> you play an attorney, but you're not your typical everyday attorney. you have strange family lineage?

   >> i do. he was the fixture for the mob. he helped the mob out, fixing their problems, whatever they may be. he was a mob attorney. he was raised by the mob. he is trying to break free from that and do good. that's his conflict. then he gets involved with the new bunny that comes into town and helps her out with something.

   >> you get involved with the new bunny in town.

   >> and she's bad.

   >> does leanne rimes come on the set and watch the shenanigans? does she enjoy it?

   >> she does enjoy it. the playboy club they built is fantastic. it is two stories. it is huge and big and all the extras in there everyone is smoking and drinking. you feel like you're in the early '60s there.

   >> we were talking about guys, tell your wife how to dress, color hair. i hear you're very prescriptive with her.

   >> we made a joke once. the only thing i do is tell herring to wear a bikini because she looks so awesome.

   >> you have a picture?

   >> there have been parent groups upset with the show that hasn't hit the air yet. do you understand the concerns about this?

   >> i think the controversy stems from the playboy brand itself and all the preconceived ideas parents have of that, whether good or bad. to be honest with you, it has nothing to do with our show.

   >> teen moms with all the crud that's on tv, if anything, the sexuality in that era was much more --

   >> much more tame. there is a big thing about all the women signing nudity clauses. they're nude all the time on our show. it's crazy. it's crazy. there is always a nude scene in our show.
