The gloves are off between Courtney Love and Sharon Osbourne.

The reality-show star blasted Love after the grunge diva made fun of her son, Jack Osbourne. The brouhaha began when Love ran into Jack Osbourne at an Oscar party, says a source, and was "very rude" to him.

"She was calling him Oxy Boy," says the insider. "And was asking him when he’s going to shut up about OxyContin." The rock scion has admitted that he was addicted to the powerful painkiller.

Last week, Sharon Osbourne warned Love to "stay away from my boy" and she mocked the singer on air, saying on her talk show that Love’s plastic surgery "is this far [and then she indicated a small space with her fingers] away from looking like Michael Jackson’s."

Love’s rep had no comment.

Chasez under fire

J.C. Chasez’s new CD has hit a sour note with some schizophrenics.

The debut solo effort by the former ‘N Syncer is titled Schizophrenic and the cover image shows him in a straitjacket. Now, some are charging that Chasez is unfairly stereotyping and misrepresenting people suffering from schizophrenia.

"I was shocked when I saw it, but the more I thought about it, the angrier I got," schizophrenia sufferer Bill MacPhee told The Scoop. MacPhee says he plans to address the topic in a forthcoming issue of his magazine, Schizophrenia Digest. "It’s a serious illness, but people who have it can lead productive lives. . . . This sort of thing can lead to further stigmatization and stereotyping of schizophrenia sufferers."

Notes from all over

Martha Stewart Found Guilty On All Counts
NEW YORK - MARCH 5: Martha Stewart leaves the Manhattan federal court after Stewart was found guilty on all four counts in her obstruction of justice trial March 5, 2004 in New York City. Martha Stewart may have been stoic while in court, but a source says that wasn’t always the case in private. A few days before Friday’s guilty verdicts, Stewart "completely lost it," says a source who knows the domestic diva. "She lost her legendary composure," says the source. "She was terrified she might go to jail. I don’t want to get into details, but she just totally broke down."  . . . Kirsten Dunst says she could have played suicidal poet Sylvia Plath better than Gwyneth Paltrow did. "Even though I think Gwyneth Paltrow is an amazing actress," Dunst told Nylon magazine. "I think that Sylvia was a girl who wanted to hurt. She wanted to feel terrible. I felt like, in the movie, it was more like, ‘I’m the victim!’ It should have been more that she liked to create all this s**t in her head. She was crazier."  . . . No wonder "Lord of the Rings" did so well at the Oscars. Lots of cast and crew members were wearing good luck charms that they had given to one another. "I was given mine by Orlando Bloom," Sean Astin told Australia’s MX. "And that makes me the envy of a few million women." Co-star Ian McKellen slyly added, "And a few million men!"
