Former Brat Packer Anthony Michael Hall was busted Monday night by a neighbor on suspicion of disturbing the peace, E! News has learned.

Apparently, the geek is now the bully. Here's what happened.

MORE: Does Breakfast Clubber Anthony Michael Hall Need More Detention?

LAPD confirm the former '80s teen star, best known for his roles in a number of classic John Hughes films including "Sixteen Candles" and "The Breakfast Club," was taken into custody after an ugly confrontation with a fellow resident at his Westside L.A. condominium complex.

Sources tell the Los Angeles Times the dispute began when Hall had a fit and started ripping up plants in the condominium's common area. When the neighbor came out of his unit to ask him what the deal was, he said the 43-year-old thesp yelled profanity at him and threatened to "beat [him] to a pulp."

Not long after, Hall pounded on the guy's door and challenged him to a fight.

Unfortunately for the erstwhile Farmer Ted, instead of taking him up on it, the neighbor called the cops and Hall was booked on suspicion of disturbing the peace and released shortly before midnight.

No word what the dispute was about (women's panties?), and a rep for Hall could not be reached for comment.

The actor, who also won critical acclaim playing Bill Gates in the 1999 TV movie "Pirates of Silicon Valley," most recently starred in the USA Network hit, "The Dead Zone," from 2002 to 2007 and had a sizable part in "The Dark Knight Returns."

But this isn't the first time his temper has gotten him in trouble. Hall was slapped with a temporary restraining order in November 2009 after allegedly shoving his ex-girlfriend during an argument. However, no charges were filed over the incident.
