Could Ricki Lake be the new Kirstie Alley on “Dancing with the Stars”?
Like Kirstie, Marie Osmond and Kelly Osbourne before her, Ricki is hoping the rigorous training and hours prepping to compete for ballroom glory helps her to drop some extra pounds.
“I fell in love, and I got a little fluffy this year,” the 42-year-old former talk show host told "Access Hollywood Live’s" Kit Hoover on Monday night, following the Season 13 cast announcement.

One of Ricki’s dreams is taking home the mirrorball trophy and besting her fellow “DWTS” competitor and pal David Arquette.
“There’s no question, I’m going to bust my a--, David, to take you on!” Ricki said throwing down a challenge to the “Scream” franchise actor. “Maybe we’ll see each other at the finals.”
Ricki told Kit that she could visualize herself winning.
“I do (have the competitive edge) ... I have it in my head that I can do this,” she continued. “I love David, and I think he’s really going to be a challenge and I’m just going to hopefully get inspired by him.”
Adding with a laugh, “And maybe trip him ... no, I’m just kidding!”
