Despite initial denials, a Twitter post now confirms the split

Jesse James hotly denied that he and Kat Von D were splitsville last month, but Kat had other opinions, which she's now shared on Twitter.

And here we thought they'd be together forever...guess not.

Just last month, Jesse James gave the tabloids a vulgar piece of his mind trying to reassure people that his relationship was going strong. We can only imagine the expletives he'd say today, now that he and fiance Kat Von D have split.

Kat broke the news tonight on Twitter, posting, "I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I'd like to share. Thanks for respecting that."

The couple began dating in August 2010, shortly after the scandal broke of James cheating on ex-wife Sandra Bullock.

Von D got tattoo of James' face; storms off set

In January 2011, Kat began sporting a ring that hinted at an engagement, which was later confirmed, but obviously not happening anymore.

    The most dramatic celebrity split of the year was that of actress Sandra Bullock and motorcycle-builder Jesse James. They wed in 2005, and in 2010, were in the process of adopting a son when it was revealed that James had had an affair with tattoo model Michelle "Bombshell" McGee. The couple divorced and Bullock went on to adopt the baby boy, Louis, on her own.

  2. Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller
