What can we say? The heart wants what it wants. Even if the rest of the world is raising a collective eyebrow.

With all due respect to Betty White -- and, of course, to the men and women of the Marine Corps -- um...this whole using YouTube as your personal cupid thing may have just gotten a teeny bit out of hand.

Still, the video site has racked up quite the formidable track record for those members of the armed forces looking to make an A-lister-accompanied entrance to their local Marine Corps Ball this fall (we knew you had it in you, Justin Timberlake). And credit where it's due--so far, none of the stars has said no ( so back off, Billy Bush).

But not every Marine is going after the hot young things--sure, Mila Kunis may be the golden girl of the moment, it's an altogether different type of Golden Girl that's piqued Sgt. Ray Lewis' interest. And he's certainly put in the effort to woo his ideal date. So take it away, sergeant...

After showing off his admirable skills (running, pull-ups, crunches and dreamily gazing into the sunset), he makes his pitch.

"Hey, it's me, Sgt. Ray Lewis, like the football player," he says on the video. "Yeah, I know you like football players. Anyways, since I figured we have one Marine asking Mila Kunis to the Marine Corps Ball, and another Marine asking Justin Timberlake to the Marine Corps Ball, I figured, hey, why not? Why don't I ask somebody out to the Marine Corps Ball. So I figured I'm gonna ask...hold up."

Before revealing his pick, Lewis snaps his fingers and instantly changes from his camouflage gear to his full medallion-bearing dress uniform, holding a single red rose.

An officer and a gentleman? Betty, you know what you need to do.

"I would like to take Betty White," continues Lewis, who will also be performing as a rapper at the Nov. 18 to-do. "She's just funny, she's sweet, she's mature, she's the all-around perfect woman. I really think that we'd have a good time. I'm fun, I think I could make her laugh, I think she could make me laugh, I think we could laugh together. It's gonna be great, it's gonna be a good time. It's gonna be me and her at the Marine Corps Ball this year. So you know, call me."

Can we get an oorah? If not, then Justin certainly can.

While appearing on the Today show this morning, Timberlake, flanked by Kunis, gracefully explained why it's so important that they accept the invitations.

"We want to pay honor to our country and embrace their balls." Um...we probably should've gone to Mila on that one.

Super-producer David E. Kelley cast her in horror flick "Lake Placid." "I was looking for the sweetest, most grandmotherly type, who in fact was vicious and had a gutter mouth," he told EW. The now silver-haired star is hotter than ever with a hit viral Super Bowl ad, a hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live," and a role in the upcoming series "Hot in Cleveland." "At my age, you shouldn't have all this good stuff," she modestly told Entertainment Weekly. "But honestly, how lucky can I get?"
