Ever since Josh Duhamel and Fergie hooked up seven years ago, the baby bump watch has been on constant patrol.

"If you're together with somebody, they expect a baby," the Transformers star told me at the MTV Movie Awards. "You know, it will happen when it's right, and we're excited about the prospect."

And you can credit his twin niece and nephew for helping them get an early start on babyproofing the house. "They're two and they are at the perfect age," Uncle Josh gushed. "They're just hilarious. But you also have to learn what's good about your house for kids and what isn't. They don't always mesh, and kids will find the most dangerous places."

The safety precautions may help Duhamel, too. He suffered a couple of injuries while making the latest Transformers. "I actually got a little bit hurt this time, not because it was dangerous, but because I'm a klutz," Duhamel admitted. "I sprained one of my ankles before lunch and then after lunch I sprained the other.

"I'm not kidding you," he insisted. "I sprained not one, but two ankles in the same day. My nickname amongst all the actual Navy SEALs on my team became H.R. Stumblesnstuf."

Here's hoping he can remain in one piece for his return to All My Children.
