   >> how did the story come about?

   >> after i did "knocked up" judd asked me, if you want to write something for yourself, i will produce it. if you want to write it by yourself, with a friend. i called annie who i have been writing and performing with at the groundlings for a long time. we were talking about movie ideas. she had just been in seven weddingings is in two years.

   >> so she knew about being a bridesmaid.

   >> i thought i heard my voice.

   >> what a beautiful soprano.

   >> you play annie , your maid of honor and she's crazy.

   >> definitely having a downturn in life, yeah.

   >> they are best friends from childhood. but this is a hard time for annie . my character is trying to be patient with it. i think after a while it wears on her.

   >> how did you get to know each other? snl?

   >> yeah.

   >> we were at the groundlings, but at different times. we actually met --

   >> wendy mentioned this part.

   >> wendy cub cubby.

   >> is this a good story?

   >> oh, yes.

   >> we met at a bridal shower am and we met wendy there. that was a long time ago.

   >> boom. instant friends.

   >> how about that?

   >> that is a good story. i happen to love john hamm who's in the movie. you have little sex scenes with him.

   >> if you want to call it sex.

   >> i call them love scenes .

   >> one lasted 12 hours?

   >> i don't know about that.

   >> it was very long.

   >> it might have been. that sounds funny. there it is.

   >> do you remember anything about it?

   >> no. i was drunk the whole time. he's so funny.

   >> he is.

   >> in this movie, oh, my gosh, he's good at playing the horrible guy.

   >> you got nothing in the film.

   >> nothing.

   >> and you're getting married.

   >> and look what happened. i got nothing. unbelievable. john hamm .

   >> speaking of which, how wonderful for you. third baby.

   >> yes. third baby.

   >> when are you due?

   >> end of the summer . i have to gestate longer.

   >> do you know if it's a boy or a girl?

   >> i do. i am having -- a human baby . i just found out.

   >> but you're not telling us?

   >> i was trying to think of a clever way. sounds like you have a secret. i don't know. it's fun to find out but then fun to keep it to yourself .

   >> years ago they em peimpersonated me from "the view." you do kathie lee . what drew you to her?

   >> someone asked me to play her for a "today" sketch. i watched a bunch of tapes of her and exaggerated quite a bit and it went from there.

   >> do you get people who come up and say, why did you do me?

   >> sometimes, yeah.

   >> suze orman loves it.

   >> oprah -- oh, my god.

   >> she was great about it. beyonce was like, you do me pretty good. you kind of sound like me when you do me.

   >> i hope you get some rest before the baby is born. you're tired?

   >> very tired.

   >> and you have another movie soon together.

   >> yes. "friends with kids" with john hamm .

   >> do you get to be with john hamm this time?

   >> no! she does. but i have chris o'dowd.

   >> we have a bad marriage in the movie.
