Details
The Vacation Pay promotion is good for stays between May 16 and Aug. 31.
The reservation has to be for two consecutive weekend nights — Friday, Saturday or Sunday — at the same hotel. Stays do not qualify if guests are paying special discounted or group rates.
The prepaid card can be used wherever MasterCard is accepted.
The fine print
Don't expect to be greeted at check-in with a $75 prepaid card.
To get the card, guests can register and print rebate forms at www.ihg.com/get75 starting this Wednesday.
Once their stay is completed, customers have to mail in the rebate form along with their hotel receipt. Rebates must be postmarked by Sept. 30.
A MasterCard prepaid card should arrive in six to eight weeks.
Note that the card can't be redeemed for cash. A $3 monthly maintenance fee also goes into effect after six months, so be sure to use the card quickly.
