TODAY unveils new online destination

The Msnbc Digital Network unveiled TODAY.com, the new online destination for America’s No. 1 morning show.  The enhanced site features an innovative new design that allows viewers to discover, watch and share stories.  The new TODAY.com is dynamically optimized for iPad, iPhone and desktop browsers, so consumers can enjoy TODAY anytime, on any platform.

The new TODAY.com enables viewers to easily access all the video from the broadcast and find stories that inspire them as well as news that keep them informed throughout the day. 

“Our audience likes to snack on stories throughout the day, so we’re programming the new site to surface the news we know they crave at different times,” said Jen Brown, director of TODAY.com. “The conversation doesn’t stop at 11 a.m. when the show ends.  It continues 24 hours a day online.”

The new TODAY.com features include:

- The TODAY family greeting viewers at the top of the site

- A sleek video timeline showcasing four hours of TODAY, the most popular clips and editor’s picks

- Ability for users to share stories and video on Facebook right from the TODAY.com homepage

- A customizable weather badge so viewers know what’s happening in their neck of the woods

- A “Heard it on TODAY” area for easy access to content mentioned on the show, like recipes and book excerpts

- A new “make TODAY your homepage” button

- When signed into Facebook, viewers can use the tool to see the TODAY stories their friends are sharing

- A toolbar feature shows ways viewers can connect to TODAY (newsletters, Facebook,  Twitter, Tumblr and apps)
