Bristol: 'There's no politics involved' on 'Dancing'

Bristol “The Pistol” Palin is shooting back at critics who say she’s remained on “Dancing with the Stars” because of her mother Sarah Palin’s political popularity.

“I’m so sick of ‘Bristol has the tea party backing her. She’s got the Republican Party,’” Palin told Access Hollywood’s Tony Potts at a dancing rehearsal on Friday. “I don’t think that’s true at all.

“There’s no politics involved in this,” Palin continued. “I think people always focus on how far we’ve gotten in this competition because of my mom and all of this B.S., when really it could work the opposite way.”

“I’ve gotten so many people who just attack me everyday because of who my mom is, so it works both ways,” Palin told Potts. “There are pros and cons to it.”

“This is not a political affair, this a dance show,” Palin’s pro partner, Mark Ballas, told Potts. “It’s supposed to be fun and entertaining.”

“I think that people out there have seen me out there improving each week,” Palin added. “They’ve seen the transformation of me as a performer and a dancer. That’s why we’re still here.”

"Dancing With the Stars" is known for its lively judges, sexy dancers, and of course, its sometimes questionable costumes. Check out some of our favorite odd outfits from the season, and why they may have been better off left in the dressing rooms. -- Anna Chan

On March 25, Wynonna Judd and pro partner Tony Dovolani donned cop costumes for a sad quickstep that was slower than molasses. Oddly enough, judge Bruno Tonioli "loved the bonkers cop idea." Every prom has them: the anti-prom kids who are too cool for school. For the "DWTS" bash, that was Wynonna and Tony, who got all rockered out. Normally, we wouldn't take issue with this, but Tony!
