According to Sgt. Belinda Nettles, the scorned shutterbug made a citizen's arrest and the airport police duly took Brand into custody on suspicion of battery, after which he'll be transferred to the LAPD's Pacific Division station for booking.

Once he's booked, bail will likely be set at $20,000 and Brand could be free to go later today.

If convicted of misdemeanor battery, the "Arthur" remaker could face up to six months to a year in jail, according to L.A. City Attorney's Office spokesman Frank Mateljan.
