A leading U.K. bookmaker has stopped taking bets on a royal wedding in 2011 between Prince William and his girlfriend, Kate Middleton.
William Hill is instead asking people to choose which month the couple will marry and gamble on where they will go on honeymoon, the Press Association news service reported.
June 2011 is rated as the most likely month by the bookie at 1/2, with July 3/1, January to May 4/1, August 7/1 and September to December 10/1, the Press Association said. Caribbean island Mustique is the favorite honeymoon location at 4/1, with Saint Tropez in the south of France at 11/2.
William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams told the news service: "Almost every bet we have taken in the last six months suggests a 2011 wedding and as a result we have decided that the market is no longer viable. It is now simply a question of which month and where they are going on honeymoon."
