Lauren & Greg

TODAY is partnering with Facebook to throw a modern day wedding! From the bride’s dress to the honeymoon location, we’re counting on viewers to plan a unique dream wedding on the Plaza. Become a Facebook fanand follow the exciting progress!

Couple #1: Lauren & Greg

New York natives Lauren Ulatowski, 29, and Greg Merante, 29, met at college orientation, before they started their first year of college in Fredonia, N.Y. They “hit it off instantly” and Lauren decided to skip her biology orientation to stay with Greg. Looking back, she realizes that “this was not a way to start college by skipping my orientation to be with a boy.”

But it looks like playing hooky paid off. After knowing each other for 11 years and dating for eight, Greg popped the question.

Greg is a musician working as a manager in an insurance company and Lauren is an admissions counselor. This harmonious couple, living on New York’s Long Island, hope to get married on TODAY. Watch more about Lauren & Greg. (on this page)

Melissa & Jeremy
Couple #2: Melissa & Jeremy

Missouri couple Melissa McMillin, 21, and Jeremy Gebhardt, 22, met in high school when Jeremy spotted Melissa, “a beautiful girl that I had never seen before,” across the room while he was “reluctantly helping out with choir practice.” Despite being told by friends that he had no chance with her, Jeremy made his move. “After two months of constant badgering she finally agreed to go on a date.”

Melissa and Jeremy are now happily engaged and see other at least once a day on Skype. Jeremy is currently serving in the U. S. Air Force and is finishing his second deployment to the Middle East; Melissa, a senior in college, is attending nursing school in Missouri. Watch more about Melissa & Jeremy. (on this page)

Shatera & Marcus
Couple #3: Shatera & Marcus

It wasn’t love at first sight for former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Shatera Kennedy, 33, when she met Marcus Allen, 41 (not the professional football player), at a local drugstore. In fact, Shatera, who asked Marcus for directions, wanted to set Marcus up with one of her friends. She invited Marcus and her friend to church, but when her friend was a no-show Shatera and Marcus hit it off. Marcus, who was previously married and is the father of two, knew “when I saw her in the store that I wanted to get to know her.”

Now the personal banker/professional cheerleader and her pharmaceutical sales rep fiance are happily engaged and proud to be a Texas duo. Watch more about Shatera & Marcus. (on this page)

Genevieve & David
Couple #4: Genevieve & David

A native of Dublin, Ireland, David McKay, 23, came to the United States on a soccer scholarship five years ago. While at Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss., David met Pennsylvania-born Genevieve Tallarico, 25, in anatomy and physiology class “of all places.” The two studied together and before they knew it they were “studying each other and … both getting an A.” David is now pursing his dream of becoming a professional soccer fitness coach and Genevieve is a ballet dancer who has worked to provide underprivileged children with ballet classes.

After four years of dating, David and Genevieve are engaged, living in Orlando, and hoping to make the grade by scoring a TODAY wedding. Watch more about Genevieve & David. (on this page)
