While it’s Mel Gibson’s allegedly violent and racist rants against ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva that made the rumor rounds lately, another woman maintains she had her own first-hand experience with the star’s bad behavior.

Adult film actress Violet Kowal, who claims she shared a brief romance with Gibson while he was seeing Grigorieva, told The Mirror that the actor-director seemed the perfect gentleman when they first met.

“At first he was charming,” Kowal revealed. “He was very complimentary and told me he was attracted to me. He came across as a single man. It was only later I realized he was seeing me behind Oksana’s back.”

Being the other woman while Gibson dated his — well, other other woman — wasn’t really a problem for Kowal. That is until things took a turn for the worst.

“At first he was always in a good mood, then I got to see his temper,” Kowal said. “It’s really scary — he can go from smiling one minute to furious the next for no reason at all.”

Then, on the same January day Grigorieva claims Gibson struck her, Kowal said she had her own unexpected falling out with the A-lister.

“(Mel) called me up from a blocked number so I wouldn’t know it was him,” Kowal recalled. “I picked up the call and he screamed at me ‘Listen you bitch, do you know who this is. Don’t f--- with me or I will make you suffer.’ Then he hung up. I was crying and shaking — terrified because he knew where I lived. I had no idea what he would do to me but I’d seen his temper before. I packed my stuff and left town for a few weeks.”

According to The Mirror, Gibson’s rep dismissed the allegations as “an absurd fabrication,” which is just what Team Mel told the National Enquirer when Kowal first discussed the relationship back in March.

Lady Gaga’s no romance rule An all-work-and-no-romance attitude is no good for Lady Gaga, at least that’s what her former boyfriend Matthew Williams fears.

“Matthew feels that he'll always come second to her career,” an insider told Now magazine. “He's very much in love with her and wanted to marry her. He's begged her to slow down with work and take better care of herself, but she never listens.”

While Gaga, who reportedly parted ways with Williams in May, sees no need to slow down, she wouldn’t argue with her ex’s assessment that her career comes first.

“My greatest sacrifice is love,” the pop sensation said in a quote published in the Daily Mail. “I've only ever been in love once, and I had to walk away because I had to put my career first. He wanted me to stay at home and be with him; I wanted to be out there trying to make it on stage. It was a huge lesson for me, but it's also a source of sadness. God gave me a gift with music, but if you have gifts you also have weaknesses. My weakness is not being able to make relationships work.”

But it’s a weakness Lady Gaga believes works to her advantage.

“I guess I always think my music is never going to roll over in bed one morning and tell me that it doesn't love me anymore,” Gaga said. “I have to believe the music is worth the sacrifice.”

Dish on the flyLooking back on her relationship with embattled actress Lindsay Lohan, Samantha Ronson can’t say that it was worth all the hassle. “I love her as a human being,” Ronson told The Times. “I'm not gonna sit here and negate everything we had.” But ultimately the DJ admits “being with her was more of a headache than anything else.” ... During an interview with Britain’s “GMTV,” Robert Pattinson claimed he would “definitely” date a fan. In fact, the “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” star has already dated one extreme admirer. “She was more of a stalker than a fan,” Pattinson explained. “But I was in Spain and she was there and I thought ‘I am sick of seeing you stare at my window all the time’ so I asked her if she wanted to do something.” Now that kind of talk isn’t exactly going to discourage those eager teens that scare the heck out of co-star (and more) Kristen Stewart, is it?
