As first reported by Radar Online — and confirmed by People — the 54-year-old actor filed the legal documents on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court. Though the papers in the matter have been sealed from the public, according to Radar (who presumably had a glimpse at them), the documents included a temporary restraining order, a notice regarding an upcoming court hearing and a notice about visitation rights and child custody of their daughter.

Grigorieva was reportedly served papers at approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday at her Sherman Oaks, Calif., home.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for the 54-year-old actor had no comment.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, following her split from Gibson in April, the Russian-born Grigorieva told reporters at a press conference in Moscow that there was more to their breakup than she could reveal.

“I can tell you that after three years of relationship, we have split up — suddenly and recently. Unfortunately, I cannot give you the reason. But you will find out everything quite soon,” she said at the time. “Here is the official version: We split up by mutual consent and we will raise our daughter together.”
