The idea that Britney Spears sexually harassed her bodyguard is laughable, according to friends of the singer. Despite recent claims to the contrary, those closest to Spears just can’t believe the superstar could make one of her protectors feel vulnerable.
The hubbub began when a report in The Sun alleged former police officer-turned-pop star bodyguard Fernando Flores recently quit his job after becoming increasing uncomfortable around Spears.
“(Britney) was always giving him the come on, and he felt if he didn't reciprocate he could lose his job,” a source revealed. “He finally handed in his notice last week and is considering legal action.”
Why didn’t Flores wait until he was fired for not flirting back before considering taking the pop princess to court? Because, according to the source, the problem with Spears went far beyond flirting.
“Working for Britney is tough,” the source said. “She's a nightmare to deal with and her emotions are totally out of control. She runs round the house naked and yelling at staff.”
But TMZ reported that Spears’ friends are simply laughing over the so-called controversy, with one pal assuring the gossip website that the whole story is “stupid.”
Those friends aren’t the only ones firmly on Team Britney. An insider who spoke with X17 Online feels Flores is the one at fault — after all, he knew who he was working for.
“Fernando wasn't even one of Britney's main guys, but he knew exactly what he was getting into,” the insider said. “Given Britney's crazy past, this doesn't really come as much of a surprise to anyone — even the photographers who follow her know she's a clothing-optional kind of gal.”

The actor is said to have taken the camera in question when he spotted a photographer parked outside his home. LaBeouf then reportedly returned to his residence to call the police about the intrusive shutterbug.
Although police eventually convinced the LaBeouf to give up the camera, they didn’t arrest him — a point one officer addressed when pressed by other photogs on the scene.
"We handle each incident on a case-by-case basis,” an unnamed official responded.
