The idea that Britney Spears sexually harassed her bodyguard is laughable, according to friends of the singer. Despite recent claims to the contrary, those closest to Spears just can’t believe the superstar could make one of her protectors feel vulnerable.

The hubbub began when a report in The Sun alleged former police officer-turned-pop star bodyguard Fernando Flores recently quit his job after becoming increasing uncomfortable around Spears.

“(Britney) was always giving him the come on, and he felt if he didn't reciprocate he could lose his job,” a source revealed. “He finally handed in his notice last week and is considering legal action.”

Why didn’t Flores wait until he was fired for not flirting back before considering taking the pop princess to court? Because, according to the source, the problem with Spears went far beyond flirting.

“Working for Britney is tough,” the source said. “She's a nightmare to deal with and her emotions are totally out of control. She runs round the house naked and yelling at staff.”

But TMZ reported that Spears’ friends are simply laughing over the so-called controversy, with one pal assuring the gossip website that the whole story is “stupid.”

Those friends aren’t the only ones firmly on Team Britney. An insider who spoke with X17 Online feels Flores is the one at fault — after all, he knew who he was working for.

“Fernando wasn't even one of Britney's main guys, but he knew exactly what he was getting into,” the insider said. “Given Britney's crazy past, this doesn't really come as much of a surprise to anyone — even the photographers who follow her know she's a clothing-optional kind of gal.”

LaBeouf swipes paparazzo’s camera A seemingly shy Shia LaBeouf decided the best way to prevent a paparazzo from snapping away was to remove the lensman’s camera from the equation. According to X17 Online, the “Transformers” star helped himself to the equipment but was quick to return the ill-gotten loot when prompted by police.

The actor is said to have taken the camera in question when he spotted a photographer parked outside his home. LaBeouf then reportedly returned to his residence to call the police about the intrusive shutterbug.

Although police eventually convinced the LaBeouf to give up the camera, they didn’t arrest him — a point one officer addressed when pressed by other photogs on the scene.

"We handle each incident on a case-by-case basis,” an unnamed official responded.

Dish on the fly Rihanna shared the ups and downs of her relationship roller coasters with Elle magazine, as the singer celebrated her romance with L.A. Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp and recalled the dark days she suffered with her ex. “I have a boyfriend,” she said of her new love. “I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy. I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.” It’s all a far cry from the life she had with boyfriend-turned-attacker Chris Brown. “A year ago, I was very confused. Because (Chris) was my best friend,” Rihanna told the magazine. “All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives — not only our friendship, but our lives. I wanted to wake up one day and just not have that pain anymore. I wanted to be with him again or get over him — it was either-or. I just didn’t want to feel the pain, the confusion.” … As the only female “Friend” never to win an Emmy, Courteney Cox isn’t ashamed to admit the snub stings. “I'm not competitive like Monica, but would I like to win an Emmy? Forget winning. I've been doing this for a thousand years and I've never been nominated,” the “Cougar Town” star told the Los Angeles Times. “I've made a good living and keep getting jobs that give me happiness. But it'd be such a great feeling to be recognized by your peers who you respect. I've never had that. And I'm not going to act like I don't care because … guess what? It'd feel … great.”
