Sandra Bullock might be distancing herself from husband Jesse James, but he still hopes that their marriage can be saved. The motorcycle-shop owner plans to move to Austin, Texas, in order to be close to Bullock’s home there.

James has owned a garage in Austin for years, according to a source who spoke to In Touch Weekly, and “Jesse is claiming that he needs to tend to that business now.”

He is in the midst of a custody dispute over daughter Sunny with his ex-wife Janine Lindemulder, but James plans on having his daughter move with him.

“His attorney has filed a declaration saying he’s moving to Austin with Sunny,” said a source who spoke to the magazine. “He’s stating it like it’s a done deal.”

Plugged in at age 4What do you get the 4-year-old who has everything? If that child is Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter Suri, the answer is an iPad.

The youngest Cruise (who is said to have 100 pairs of shoes to her name — more than one pair for every month she’s been on the planet) was spotted with the computer at New York restaurant Il Cantinori on May 24.

Suri “put her stuffed animals aside to use a drawing program,” wrote Life & Style. “She played with the iPad for about 20 minutes before the family headed out of the restaurant, just before midnight.”

Clarkson tops ‘Idol’ power rankingsThe L.A. Times has taken on a daunting task: ranking the top “American Idol” contestants.

A panel of judges that included reporters, bloggers and one unnamed contestant have made and ordered a list of the top 120 performers. The panelists considered such things as album sales and media presence, and deducted points for arrests and scandals.

The end result? Kelly Clarkson is No. 1.

“She may not have sold as many albums or won as many Grammys as season four winner Carrie Underwood, but no female voice in ‘American Idol’ history is as instantly recognizable as Kelly Clarkson,” according to the piece.

Other notables: Lee DeWyze, this year’s winner, debuts at No. 20; William Hung is No. 50 (he’s made a few movies in Asia and has recorded three albums) and in last place, curly-haired Chris Golightly, who was actually disqualified.

"Chris Golightly, who had originally been selected for the top 24 and was disqualified in February for being in a recording contract at the time of his original audition,” wrote panelist Michele Amabile. “Don't any of these contestants read the rules? His dismissal gave us Tim Urban. For that he must be punished.”
