Sandra Bullock will attend the MTV Movie Awards on June 6, her rep tells UsMagazine.com.

The actress, 46, will accept the "MTV Generation Award." She is the first female recipient to be honored with the award, which acknowledges an actor who has engaged the MTV audience throughout their career.

"The Blind Side" star hasn't attended any public events since winning her best actress Oscar in March following reports that her husband Jesse James cheated on her.

She filed for divorce in April.

Earlier this month, she announced that she has adopted a 3 1/2-month-old son Louis from New Orleans.
