After a nearly four-month hiatus, “Glee” returns to television Tuesday night. That’s good news for fans, but Jane Lynch, who plays cheerleading coach and glee club arch nemesis Sue Sylvester, has even bigger news: she’s confirmed that she is engaged.

Rumors that Lynch and her girlfriend, Lara Embry, were set to marry in May were shot down by Lynch’s rep, but over the weekend, Lynch acknowledged that there is indeed an engagement.

“Yes, yes, it's true!" Lynch told Us Weekly.

Lynch said that she’s not sure when a wedding will actually take place. She told Us, “We don't have any plans at all yet, but I have a ring and everything. We're very happy and very excited!”

Oprah reveals more details about OWN
Oprah Winfrey herself was on hand to reveal details about her new cable channel, OWN, at the Discovery Network upfronts last week.

Slideshow: Celebrity Sightings While headlines about the network have been mostly concerned with management changes and programming speculation, Winfrey said that the network, which debuts January 1, 2011, has been “busting out for the last year.”

She described it as “my brainchild,” and said that “there is no greater joy than to be able to influence people’s lives in a positive way ... and that’s why I’m doing it. The network is about good intentions.”

Viewers will see those good intentions manifest themselves in Winfrey’s reality show on OWN, “Oprah’s Next Chapter.” Winfrey described it as a “crazy idea,” and early clips showed the star and her dog Sadie being driven to work together in the morning.

Battle for the box office
The box-office battle was so close this weekend that Monday's figures could push it either way. As of Sunday night, “Date Night” is slightly ahead of 3-D behemoth “Clash of the Titans.”

At press time, “Date Night” was reporting receipts of $27.1 million, while “Titans” came in second with $26.8 million.

Almost as impressive as Steve Carell and Tina Fey besting a 3-D blockbuster is the continued strong performance of “How to Train Your Dragon,” which fell just 13 percent in its third weekend in theaters, grossing an estimated $25.4 million for a total of $133.9 million, according to Box Office Mojo.
